Luidan Bristlewalker

Appearance: A Brownie, under two feet tall. Nut-brown hair, green eyes, a voice that sounds odd to bigger folk. Needle-nicked hands. Earthy browns and greens, the colors her clergy wear. A farmer?s sickle at his belt when he expects trouble. One bright vest folded small for when a camp feels like a hearth.

Personality: Shy until he is poked, then sharp. Honest. He does not take from people he thinks are decent. He hates being stared at and he hates being made to perform. Once he decides someone is safe he does not leave them behind. He asks fewer questions than Kendar and notices more locks. He would rather feed someone than preach at them.

Biography: Luidan was born in a Brownie village on Axis Lake, on Girrac. Axis Lake has a shrine to Prunilla. He grew up on stories of Daraghan in the Serpent Isles, the old homeland that was trampled in the late 1300s. He has never seen it.

Like most of his people he gathered, mended, and helped a worthy farm without being seen. If they boasted of a Brownie in the house, he left. The hearth work was how he knew Lady Comfort: soil, food, and the people you keep close. He was never sent to a tall seminary. He was a Sapling in the Brownie way ? chores, harvest, and a crumb left for her ? long before anyone would have called him clergy. That is the cleric. It comes first.
